In late 2006, our family bought a slightly delapidated home on Bitter Lake, a small lake within the Seattle City limits, just 9 miles north of downtown.  This blog tells about about the physical and virtual labor needed to turn this “tear-down” into a (hopefully) profitable vacation rental.  My name is Brian and my real job is at a local biotech company.   I never thought I’d be in the hotel business, but that’s what its starting to feels like.  I have many hobbies, including home maintenance and computers – so this vacation rental is a pretty interesting new hobby for me.
